A New Year, A Whole New Salon!

** Psst ** Lady Jane's Salon RDU is moving!

Please visit us at our new location - Cafe Carolina at the Arboretum in Cary - 137 Weston Parkway * Cary NC 27513

This month, we welcome out-of-town bestselling author SUE LONDON to the Salon. She will be reading from TRIALS OF ARTEMIS, the first book in THE HABERDASHERS series...

An independent bluestocking sneaks into a library to read rare Greek texts and ends up with a husband instead.

The Haberdashers
In 1805 three little girls decided to create a "boys club" because boys have more fun. Their childhood was filled with sword fighting, horse racing, and archery. Now in 1815 they are all grown up and expected to join Society. Who will marry such independent and deadly misses?

Trials of Artemis
Loving Lord Lucifer...
Jacqueline "Jack" Walters loves archery and Greek military history. In her third season she has failed to inspire so much as one marriage proposal and is planning to settle into the quiet life of a spinster.

Gideon Wolfe, Earl of Harrington, has been avoiding marriage but a case of mistaken identity in the library has left him saddled with an argumentative and unwilling fiancée.

We are also excited to welcome KERRY ADRIENNE to Lady Jane's Salon RDU this month. Kerry will read from her contemporary romance - AULD LANG SYNE..

The years since college have been tough for small town Texas girl, Charlotte, but after her husband’s death, she’s finally able to explore a career in photography. A friend offers to exhibit her work in his swanky New York City gallery. New York during the holidays is everything she’s heard and more. Overwhelmed by the city, she never expected to cross paths with her old friend-with-benefits from school.

Staid psychology professor Jacob learns that Charlotte will be in town for New Year’s. He’s spent the time since graduation regretting not telling her how he really felt all those years ago. He loves her and has never stopped thinking about her. In a whirlwind trip around the city, Charlotte learns to shed her guilt and follow her long-time dreams. Jacob has to step out into the real world and make a stand for what he believes. To find love, they both must take a chance or risk being stuck in times gone by.

And rounding out the night will be SUZETTA PERKINS reading from her book SILVER BULLETS...

Emma Wilcox is fifty-five, has been married for twenty-five years, and has a husband who cooks, cleans, and makes her bathwater. Queenie Jackson is fifty-eight, pleasantly plump, divorced, has a male friend she entertains and doesn't mind fixing his favorite meal in her birthday suit. Yolanda Maxwell Morris is short, petite, divorced and still turning heads. She often tells men who come on too strong that she's not interested and that it is her and Jesus. And there's Connie Maxwell, Yolanda's younger sister, who is forty-nine, never been married, all the while putting pressure on her boo, Preston Alexander, to put a ring on it so she can have his baby before her eggs turn to powder.

These women have put too much pressure on themselves to look exceptional or pleasure a man and fail to realize that they're still fierce and fabulous. Life isn't over because you're over fifty and in the prime of your life.
